We are pleased to report that we received four A+ marks and one A in the PRI’s assessment of our implementation of responsible investing. We also scored higher than the median signatory in all relevant categories. The full assessment reports and the summary scorecard covering our management of the University of Toronto’s Pension and Endowment assets are included below (the summary scores for Pension and Endowment are identical).

UTAM became a signatory to the United Nations-supported PRI, the world’s leading proponent of responsible investment, in 2016. As a signatory to the PRI, we have committed to the PRI’s six responsible investing principles (see https://www.utam.utoronto.ca/responsible-investing/) and to an annual evaluation of our implementation of responsible investing. While we are pleased with the results of the PRI assessment, we recognise that there is more work to be done as best practices in this area continue to evolve and new data and analytics become available. The PRI is an important component of our overall responsible investing framework as we strive to implement a best in class program for an organization of our size and investment approach (i.e., a manager of managers). Additional information on the PRI’s assessment process can be found at the following link https://www.unpri.org/signatories/about-pri-assessment.
